Subject: Great Night at the Coaches Caravan

A lot of enthusiasm and discussion. Personally, I had great conversations with Coach Christian and then later in the night with Kian Boroujerdi. Kudos to Mike K and his staff!

JC told me they really like their most recent commit - Dorsett Mulcahy. Said he's a very good shooter but that his game is more than that and that he does a lot of things well.

As for the current group, nothing earth-shattering but reaffirmed some things. A few tidbits -

*Overall team toughness is much greater.

*Kumu is special.

*Other freshmen are getting better day by day - he especially pointed out Andreo Ash who he said is starting to understand the college game and is strong as an ox. Edwards is ultra quick and Oliver has a complete game.

*Singleton shoots it very well.

*Niblack is tough as nails but still getting back into basketball shape.

*Ndjonga should be a very good big man in the MAAC.

*Evbagharu is a natural leader and brings a lot of veteran presence.

*Ijeoma continues to have good days and is very athletic.

*Jusianiec is banged up right now but brings a lot to the table when healthy.

*Wilmoth too is battling through some injuries but when healthy, can be a real force.

*Benard and EVDP continue to improve and will play significant roles.

*Coach Boroujerdi told me that he feels he will be able to bring a lot to the table in recruiting JUCO's in and around his native Texas.

Thanks for info, would be a real plus if Ash and kamu can both contribute, we will need another big able to contribute some and a scorning wing would also help, from what I read the MAAC seems to be loaded with very good teams this year so will be interesting to see how much improvement we can make over last years team which lacked depth, toughness and ability to play in the paint and it sounds like all of those areas should be much improved.

Was there any mention of when we donate and if there will be parking in the lower lot for giving a certain amount?

Bill Maher did a nice job of explaining how we now have the option to donate as usual to the Blue and Gold fund - where the money is used to supplement the operating budget of the basketball program AND/OR giving to the Excellence Fund where the money is used for the acquisition and retention of players through NIL. I know that either can be accessed at gogriffs.com at any time. I did not hear nor have I seen anything regarding donations and the relationship to one's ability to park in the lower lot but I will see what I can find out. If anyone has an answer to that question, please post it.

The official response is that this season a $750+ donation to either fund and the purchase of a season ticket will result in a priority parking pass in the lower lot of the KAC. In addition, there is typically a one year look back because people make their gifts at different times of the year. So as long as someone has made a gift in the past year and renewed their tickets – they will be included for the parking benefit. Hope that helps!

To have Jim Christian as our coach. He is well connected, smart and a great communicator who cares about our fan base. He understands the reality of DI basketball and how Canisius can succeed in the MAAC.

A great recruit likeKumu will most likely move to a higher conference and more dollars if he excels at Canisius. The goal is to help him reach his potential with us and keep him for two years. And to give the underutilized veterans like Wilmoth a chance to play major minutes and their talent.

With Jim at the helm, we will have competitive and entertain teams.

It would be great if team fights hard & stays healthy. Last year we could never finish games. The lower lot for parking is an interesting idea but I doubt it would ever happen. Go Griffs & Buck FONA.

Preferred parking in the lower lot for those who donate $500+ has been in place for at least 20 years.

Agree, it was nice to see so many of the faith full. Looking forward to the start of another season, and Go Griffs
