Subject: Horrendous Second Half Leads to Griffs Loss in MAAC Opener

After doing some good things in the first half to go to the break tied, the second half was awful. Ndjonga picked up his third foul 30 seconds in (he never got going tonight), free throw shooting was beyond bad, struggled mightily to break the press, foul trouble, shooting was pathetic, etc., etc., etc. This team may be tougher than last year, but their inability score is a real problem.

Siena beat Niagara by 29 tonight and scored 83 points. Can't say that I'm looking forward to Sunday.

How do you assemble a team and neglect to bring in enough guys who can actually shoot? That's kind of important.

How do you score 4 points in the first 10 minutes of the second half??? 4 points! Went from a team last year that couldn't stop anybody to a team that can't shoot straight. This is pathetic.

The Griffs really need a shooter. This should be the number goal of recruiting for next season. For the present time, Maher should consider hiring a shooting coach to work with our guys. Look what UB has done by adding a couple of guys that can really play. Go Griffs !!!

Basketball is a simple game - you put the ball in the hoop and prevent the opposition from doing same.

If you can't do the above, you're not really a basketball player.

Not sure we picked the right guy. I don’t see the development. We seem to take a major set back every game. Yes, we’ve won 4 games but we will live in the MAAC basement. Last night was a winnable game & we collapsed! How many bunnies did we miss underneath the basket. Pathetic! Let’s hope that Siena doesn’t blow us out. Go Griffs!
