Griffs Blown Out Because They Can't Recruit At The Level Necessary To Compete -- Spartan 73, Sun, December 07 2025, 13:40:51
I'm not trying to be mean, it's just the truth. Between the courts, NCAA (NIL/Potral) it's now a survival game among the low mid majors , including the Niagara's and Canisius' of the college basketball world. It's a damn shame because I remember the exciting days of the Little Three. I remember O'Connor and Turtle,, Masiello, Butler, Glenn, Arias, Murphy, Lanier, Gantt, Kalbaugh, the Stith Bros. of those days and many other great from Canisius, Niagara and Bona.
The Reality: It's over for NU and Canisius. What the future holds is either D2, D3 or the end of basketball for the low mid majors.

Somewhat true but St. Peter's just throttled Canisius and Niagara and they are located in the armpit of the world and have no money. It can still be done. The bigger problem is that Niagara and Canisius have no clue of what they are doing.

St. Peter's Is Next To The NYC Metro Area & Made It To The Elite 8. -- Spartan 73, Sun, December 07 2025, 19:28:45
As bad as SPU's gym and reputation are concerned, it is still located in the NYC area that includes the good sized city Jersey City in which it is located. Hundreds of high school basketball programs are located in that area; in addition, you LaGuardia, JFK and the local Jersey airport there.
REMEMBER, just a few years ago SPU made the Elite 8 at the NCAA Tournament. That is something no other MAAC school has ever accomplished.

Re: Griffs Blown Out -- I doubt we would be better with RW., Sun, December 07 2025, 17:52:12
How many more years did you want to give RW? His only success came with Baron’s players.
