Cannot understand how alums, students and local high school players do not want to see exciting DI basketball games at Koessler our kids are playing hard and our opponents have talent. Having just 500 fans is ridiculous. Our players and coaches deserve better.

It’s not the 1980’s. Everything is digital and there are more options today of watching a game vs. sitting in a gym or listening on the radio. Die hard fans will go but we need to win more consistently before we fill the KAC. Go Griffs!

Unbelievable! After a terrible start, and down by a dozen, somehow, good things stated to happen. With about 4 minutes remaining, the Griffs took the lead and managed to win. Unfortunately, many of the faithful decided to stay at home and watch the NFL. They really missed a great game. In my opinion, the Griff that had a great game and was possibly responsible for the win was point guard Anthony Benard. Iona and Manhattan on the road this week will be a challenge. Go Griffs!!!!

It was a good two game home stand. The Griffs are way better than last year. BG believes Jim and his staff are doing a fine job in developing this group. Iona and Manhattan will be challenges on the road next. BG's biggest worry is how much NIL poaching will go on at CU, especially of our Freshman year players. IMO we have four good ones with a fifth coming in. A good base for growing an excellent team. But---?

Buffalo is a Bills city. They were playing one of the more memorable games in their history. Of course, people are going to stay home, out of the elements, to watch history.
And students are not on campus. Adds up to low attendance. We're not unique in that, I watch a lot of games on ESPN+ that have many, many empty seats.

Plenty of time to Go to the Griffs Game at noon and go back home for the Bills Game at 4:20. Come on. I’m a Bills fan and season ticket holdertoo but there were plenty of better memories at the Ralph. Playing the pathetic Jets in the last game didn’t mean a lot to me any way. Its not like it was a playoff game to go to the Super Bowl.

Was an awesome ending and game. Definitely the time of year where games are lower attended-sounded like a good atmosphere for how few fans there were. I do hope to make the hour and a half trip to catch a game this year with my son-this team is WORLDS better than where they were last year and I am excited to see what they can do down the stretch!

Re: Sweep! -- alum, Tue, January 06 2026, 5:19:16
One thing that really stuck out at the game was the number of fouls called. 24 on each team, for a total of 48. Some fouls on inside shots seemed to be phantom reactions, but there could have been another dozen calls made, especially as Sacred Heart played defense. And the refs have only themselves to blame for the nonstop whining from their coach. Made Jim Boeheim from Syracuse look like a boy scout.
