This is a big deal. The entire Griff Nation at Main and Jefferson should be made aware of it. Faculty, Staff, Students. There should be a prominent story in the Buffalo News sports section, and radio and TV sports programs. There should be much better attendance at the Griff games at KAC. The MBB Griffs won't win em all, but are deserving of much better support.Kahlil is proof of that, and he has a good bunch of team mates.Let's GO TO the Griffs! By the way NU (just down the way) is coming up soon.

Rachel Lenzi hasn't covered college sports for the News in about a year. The Canisius sports information department submitted the information to Marquel Slaughter who put the story up three hours ago.

Not saying that Canisius will get favorable or biased treatment, but Marquel Slaughter is a Canisius alum and former C-Block member. He's attending all but one home game since he's started at The Buffalo News.

The only sports covered in the Buffalo News sports section is Bills and Sabers. College basketball will receive plenty of coverage once the Super bowl is history. As a result, coverage of College Basketball will last until the NFL draft , and mini camp begins. What a great newspaper. Go Griffs!!!
