Subject: Missed opportunity
If you don’t pay attention to the other MAAC scores and standings here’s a little update. What a missed opportunity losing to Niagara. Iona lost to last place Rider, Sacred Heart beat Siena. Fairfield beat Manhattan St. Peter’s beat Quinny and they are now in first. The league is wide open. We were in contention for getting a first round bye until the Niagara loss. If you want any chance to win the tourney you have to be at least the six seed to avoid playing an extra game et. Look at the bracket on the MAAC website and you’ll see what I mean. We are still in a playoff spot but we need to win Sunday against MSM. Maybe all the hype for the Niagara game and having a few fans in the stands got in their heads or they were tired from the road trip. There will be no one there Sunday so maybe they won’t feel any pressure and get back to playing well. Hope they get in the gym and work on their shooting. Our bench sucks, no 3 point shooter to bring in to ignite the offense no energy guy to get them going. Nothing. That said hopefully we can learn to play with a lead and build on a lead not just keep games close and rely on our self proclaimed toughness to win at the end. We need to hold serve at home and win this game Griffs. LFG !

Just to be clear. The next game is Saturday at noon and not Sunday.

Duh sorry about that. Hope no one shows up Sunday. Don’t feel so bad about our attendance looking at the FAU game . Playing the Shockers at home and a very light crowd.

P.S.: "What a horrible game" below makes some good points. BG has confidence in Jim Christian and his staff, as well as in the current MBB team. As to the bench, let's watch for some continuing growth (especially the Freshmen).
