It's simplistic and cliche and I know it's a lot easier said than done, but you absolutely have to win to get people to games. Bottom line. I've watched every game either in person or on TV over the last two years and I've walked away unhappy 47 times. Happy 11 times. That's a lot of unhappiness. People are frustrated. And it's such a catch 22 because many don't want to give or attend because they see it as a waste of money and time but not giving and having small crowds does nothing to help winning.

So you have to get over the hump. Have to hopefully retain guys like Singleton, Edwards, and Evbagharu and get lucky with three or 4 others (hopefully more) to get to the .500 neighborhood next year and make the MAAC tournament. There isn't a marketing ploy in the world (and Mike Kochczynski works his ass off trying to increase attendance, engagement, and revenue) that is going to get people to a game when they believe they're going to lose before the opening tip.

Christian, has an impossible task. How is he going to be competitive in this new landscape if he has no financial resources? Yes, the place is empty but we had a decent crowd for Niagara. Take a look at St. Peter’s which in the top of the MAAC our attendance is better than theirs. The Griffs for the second year don’t have a point guard in a league which is all about guards. As a result they’re exhausted at the end, run out of gas & their bench is terrible. We should have never lost the Marist game. Game after game we dig a hole & then make a bit of a run which results in a loss. No Atlantic City this year. I’m pulling for Merrimack. Think about it, they went D1 only a few years ago, won the NEC & are now owning the MAAC with their zone. Joey Gallo can flat out coach & recruit. Also their endowment is less than ours. It starts with Stoute & Trustees. Wake up Griff fans we deserve better.

If we go D3 can we get a football team? Hilbert College has one. Go Griffs
