Subject: Demarris Winters is a Griff!

6'3" from UTRGV. Originally from Cleveland. Averaged 2.3 points and 7 minutes a game as a freshman for the 19-14 Vaqueros. Played 14 minutes and had 6 points (2 3's) in the Southland Conference semi-final loss to McNeese St.

University of Texas Rio Grand Valley. In the Southland Conference with the likes of McNeese St., Lamar, New Orleans, Stephen F. Austin.

Looks like a nice player. Highly recruited out of a championship HS team in Cleveland. Rated at 3 stars and as the 9th best player in Ohio with 6 offers from Ariz St, Tulane, Akron Ohio and Kent St. shot 3’s at nearly 40pc last s son off the bench. I bet Jim knew him at Kent St.

A 3 star recruit out of Richmond Heights HS where he won three consecutive Ohio State championships in Division IV. In addition to UTRGV, Winters had offers from Ohio, Akron, Kent St., Robert Morris, Tulane, and Arizona St.

I like it. He was underutilized in his college career so far (and obviously realizes it), so put him in a more significant role here and see where it takes us. Good move all around.
