Hi,

Thank you for using my discussion forum.

Without more details, I'm just working with assumptions.

You may be able to get building contractors to do some of your selling. New & remodeled building have new tile that should be protected. This may mean scrubbing off the factory coating & putting some preliminary coats of sealer &/or floor finish. Then after the construction is finished, the tile should be coated with sealer & finish.

By being a subcontractor & letting the general contractor pay you, you'd get some sales effort without the initial expense. Or instead of getting paid by the general contractor, you could pay the GC a percentage of what you get paid by the client. Then you'd only have to pay after you've done the work instead of paying for advertising media &/or salaries.

You could ask insurance agents for referrals/leads since storms make big messes. I don't know if insurance agents are allowed to collect referral fees. But if an agent has a choice between keeping you as a client or losing you because you've lost your business owner, it'd be worth helping you stay in business.

Sometimes store owners move their fixtures, which leaves a mess on the sales floors. These stores may need to bring in a bigger crew for a while, even if they have their own janitors. They may already have the supplies & equipment too.

Plumbers may be hired to fix problems. Even if the problem didn't cause a mess, the repair might. You may be work with them as if they're genreal contractors.

Business owners may need you to train their janitors. It'd be short-term work, but it could bring in some of the money you need.

An unrelated way to bring in money would be sell some things through online auctions. It could also be a way of clearing out some storage or office space.

I'm glad you're serious about keeping your business alive.

Marketing strategies and tactics are long-term issues,
but you shouldn't have to wait long for sales.
