Registration is still open for the 2008 Feis in the Desert. This year our event weekend falls on the 3-day Martin Luther King Holiday: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, January 18, 19, 20, 2008 - plenty of time to travel and great airfares now! We’re “off” the All Ireland’s weekend now, so consider this a rehearsal for those headed there in February! We will again be at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort in Historic Downtown Chandler, Arizona. This is a wonderful time of year in Arizona - come in out of the snow and cold, visit relatives, and bask under our sunny skies. Please visit our website, www.feisinthedesert.org – start with our Welcome Letter, then register for competitions and hotel accommodations through the website. All contact information for the Feis Committee is on the website. The schedule of events is up, along with information on our Special Events. Join us for the opening night Wine and Cheese Reception and stay for our cultural event, the Vocal Competitions on Friday evening. Back by popular demand is the C.E.R.F. (Firemen’s Relief Fund) Double Jig Competition to be held not once but twice! – open to all ages/all levels on Saturday and Sunday – enter for one or both! The Pittsburgh Winter Feis is accepting entries for competition. Sign up at efeis.com.
It will take place on Saturday, December 30 and Sunday, December 31, 2006.
Hotel reservations at the Radisson Hotel in Greentree (the location of the feis) must be made by December 8 to get the feis rate of $89.

Greetings All -
It is with great pleasure that I announce the 2006 Comortas an Chosta Oir - The Gold Coast Competition to be held August 11th, 12th and 13th in the beautiful Westlake Hyatt Plaza in Westlake Village California. We are very excited and look forward to seeing you all.
Our schedule is very similar to the 2005 competition. We have added a Reel Special for the Beginner - Prizewinner levels. Adults now have a Slow Hornpipe Special in addition to the Slow Jig Special:
Friday, August 11th: Friday Schedule will begin at 5 p.m. This will include: 13 & Older Beginner – Prizewinner & Specials, All Adult competitions, Figures U15 and 15 & Older Beginner and Open levels
Saturday, August 12th: Saturday Schedule will begin at 8 a.m. This will include: 12 & Older Beginner - Prizewinner & Specials, 12 & Older Championships, Championship Specials: Baumer Boys, Brian Grant, Celine Hession, Kim O’Brien Swaim
Sunday, August 13th: Sunday Schedule will begin at 8 a.m. This will include: U12 and younger (Beginner - Prizewinner, championships, and Specials), Beginner & Open Figures U12, Wee Folk and Mairçad O Flaitheartta Specials Rita O’Shea Trophy Special
There will be no wristbands again this year. As part of the registration for the feis, a family registration fee of $10 will need to be paid. The family feis max of $100 does not include the registration fee or specials.
