Hi Maria!
I just read your post. I, too, had dreams of more freedom and my own room when I was younger! I come from a family of five siblings (myself included). It was always an argument over who was able to get into the washroom first, what television shows we were going to watch, the telephone, etc. (In those days, we didn't have our own telephones in our rooms. My father wouldn't allow it).
Speaking of rooms. I shared one with two of my sisters for years. (Oh, the fights we had!) My sisters and I also fought about who was going to do the dishes. (My brother wasn't included in that one. He was exempted due to the fact that he was male. My father, although always a kind and generous man, was also, unfortunately, somewhat chauvinistic).
George is lucky in so many ways, I think. He has a sister, Ada, whom it seems, he gets along with quite nicely. I'm certain that he must be, at least now, with all of his success, quite happy. Of course, that's not to say that he, too, doesn't have his bad days. I hope he's happy. He deserves to be. I've said it before and I'll say it again: He's an amazing person!
Maria, you mentioned that autumn has arrived there. It has here as well; only the temperature lately makes it feel more like winter! But you're right. The different coloured leaves that fall do bring more beauty to the outdoor scenery. I love it.
Well, I'm expecting some company soon. I must say goodbye now.
Hugs and kisses to everyone. Take care.
Angel
