Hi Everyone!

Didn't mean to stay away so long, gang--wish I could say I've been vacationing at Lake Como with George (lol!!) but no, I've just been distracted by work and life in general. I have "dropped by" once or twice in the last couple of weeks, but it seemed pretty quiet here as far as I could tell.

Hey, is everybody still following "ER"? I hadn't been watching the NBC first run episodes week-to-week in quite a long time, so when I began tuning in a couple of weeks ago I was sort of lost where the characters and story arcs were concerned.

But tonight was the Christmas 2006 episode (on NBC network television) and it was a rather nice one. I've been watching back-to-back episodes of "ER" reruns on the cable channel TNT since the beginning of this year, and the daytime episodes have now nearly caught up to the first run weekly ones--this morning's show featured nearly the identical staff of tonight's show (except for John Stamos as Gates and a couple of others) in Christmas 2005-New Year 2006 episodes.

For instance, in one of this morning's episodes Abby and Luka were contemplating their impending parenthood; in tonight's they were arguing about Luka's threatening Forest Whitaker if he didn't stay away from Abby and their baby boy. Unless they decide to go with different programming, I expect TNT will start the show from its 1994 beginnings (Hello, Dr. Ross!!) sometime in late January or early February of next year.

Merlin, thanks so much for that GC television appearance listing, it's much appreciated. I saw George on Letterman last week and really enjoyed the interview--he was as funny, charming and attractive as expected. He was also hilarious on The Daily Show, bantering back and forth with Jon Stewart about their Academy Award spoofing.

And he apppeared briefly on Monday's "Today" morning show, laughing with Matt Lauer about having partied the night away with, among others, Danny DeVito (by now most of you probably know that Mr. DeVito has stirred up some controversy following his obviously inebriated appearance on "The View" last week, especially given the fact that Barbara Walters, the icy Empress of Broadcast Journalism, was in attendance). You can catch more of George on "Today" next week.

And--oh!--I often watch the MSNBC cable news show, "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" and tonight Olbermann gave a "shout-out" to our George, who was #2 on "Countdown's" Top 3 Newsmakers list. Olbermann noted that People magazine quoted GC as liking the show--he Tivos it and "The Daily Show"--and tries never to miss "Countdown's" quirky "Oddball" segment. So those are my recent George Clooney tv-sightings. :-)

Ah, I started this too late in the evening. I'm tired; I've got to turn in for the night. More later, all!

Smooches dah-lings!

Lorraine
