Glimpses
Fleetingly seeing youth again,
Shaking off the shackles of responsibility
That has held you in unhappiness,
To lunge forward and leap into life again
Fresh, new, revived.
Learning that responsibility
Can be shaken can be shaken like a chain,
But still holds you in its gravity,
To return you into your previous position.
Dreams, loudly screaming in your silent struggle.
Not alone, but they still orbit over your past.
Indecision, which way is away from unhappiness?
How will it end?
The pursuit hides the gladness within
The folds of strife and loneliness,
The surprise of newness and learning,
The real goal and reward.
