Mirrabelle

A misty shadow slowly drifted from the deceased form lying prone in the dragon's lair. Hovering high in the air for several seconds and then sinking slowly down to the solid earth below.

As the shadow touched down, two shapely legs appeared, then slowly merged upward into her tiny waist, the transformation continued as her long flowing black hair whipped softly in the wind creating a modest cover for her nude figure. Filling her newly formed lungs with air completing the transformation into the beautiful Mirrabelle once again.

I reached my arms skyward stretching every muscle in my body and then with small steps I walked slowly around the lair to grow accustomed once again to my human shape.

Knowing I would need the cover of clothing for warmth and propriety, I searched far in the back of my lair in a trunk kept just for such emergencies.

I finished dressing and at that moment the overwhelming sorrow for the loss of my child enveloped me. The tightness in my chest taking the very breath from my lungs. I sat down and sobbed uncontrollably, tears flowing freely down my cheeks, sliding across my slender throat dampening the lace at my bosom, which aches and weighes heavy with nourishment for my absent child.

Just then I heard the gutteral tones of sorrow coming from the distance. I knew this sound and it caused me to stand and realize that I must do what is necessary to save my child from the depths of hell. Borg must pay for this unforgiveable deed.

Leaving the lair, I mounted my steed and headed in the direction of my father's sad cries....
