Subject: Giving Thanks

It's that time of year
when family and friends
gather from near and far.

They gather around the table
to say their Thanksgiving blessings
and remember what they are thankful for.

I'll cut the turkey,
you pass the dressing
does everyone have a glass?
Let's make a toast to family and friends
and all that we're thankful for.

Remember the ones
who can not be here
and say a little prayer.

Since we all have dressing
now it's time for the blessing,
and to give our thanks.

So Happy Thanksgiving
from my house to yours,
the friends I'm most thankful for.
