~What Was~
S.Perry and R. Goodrum
Greatest Hits + Five

This song is amazing.. the vocal range of Steve is incredible, but this song is just magic. The music is beautiful and compliments the lyrics so well. "The Fire's still there, my heart is still scared to feel again". Powerful words..
When I first heard it, I stopped everything and just stood and listened to it.The pain and emotion in his voice is almost hard to listen to. I hate to think of Steve in that much pain, but must assume he was. By far,one of the most powerful, moving songs he's written and sung. On a lighter note: My Mom was listening to it and says "Wow, he sounds a little like Michael Bolton, only better!" Not to take anything away from Michael, but not even close, Mom! I'm so happy this CD came out because of the unreleased tracks. Some of the best Steve music ever.
What are your opinions?
