Subject: Open Arms

I have to share this with you guys! I am taking a class in American Sign Language and one of our final assignments is to sign a song and I have chosen "Open Arms". Well I was talking to one of the girls in the class and I mentioned what song I had chosen and she looks at me and says "oh by Mariah?" I had no idea that Mariah Carey had even done it! I told her no, the one Journey did. Well she didn't know it but she started singing the Mariah song. Surpise surprise! I said "ya that's it!!" She tells me "ya that's Mariah's." I very bluntly said "No it's Journey's, they wrote it". Anyway class goes on and I'm talking to some other people about the songs they are working on and I again mention mine. This young girl who looks like Shania Twain tells me "Oh by Mariah?" I was all hurt. None of these people know about Steve's beautiful voice on this timeless song.

It was quite funny when it happened actually so I thought I would share it with you. It keeps my husband rolling in the isle anyway.

I was going to try and take the video of them and show it why I signed but then I came out of the blonde moment and realized that they are supposed to be watching me sign it and not the video!! Just hope I can turn some more people on to Steve's music. I had actually thought about changing to "I Stand Alone" but now they need to hear Steve sing Open Arms. There is nothing more sexy than that voice!!
