After listening to the Essential CD I have come to one conclusion on this for me. They have put great songs on this compilation of hits but it leaves me wondering why? If you have the Times 3 and all of their CD why then this Essential? It is a great collection for the person who has no Journey and would like to have a Journey CD in their collection. I was excited to receive this but the excitement has sorta left me. Don't get me wrong on this, I would have bought this anyway because I love Steve and Journey. They have the Greatest Hits, Greatest Hits Live and Times 3. How many more times can they do this. It is a great CD because it has some songs from TBF, which I love. I guess it just leaves me wondering why do another greatest hits. I was wondering the same thing about the Billy Joel Essential. I have the Billy Joel box set, so why buy the Essential. I do like the Essential Journey alot it has all the great songs and when I heard Lights it still got me the same way it got me when I first heard it in 1978. So I guess there is a reason for the Essential Journey. Just me getting on that soapbox again. Have a very Perry Day. Perry On!
