Subject: To Connolly-Greetings from Frankfurt

Halli Hallo Con,
I don't know Lichtenberg, but I checked it on a map. It's close to the centre, right? My relatives live in Wedding. It's been a long time that I've seen them.

I don't know if there is a misunderstanding in your current mail, but nevertheless I would like to make clear that I am not a teacher. When I was at university I had a few jobs on the side like giving private lessons for pupils or teaching in an institution for learning-disabled children. Now I'm back in my old business. I work for an advertising agency, doing client services that means doing traffic and to help clients to promote their new product.
So, what job do you like to do in the future? Any plans?
At the moment I don't have much time for reading. I have to learn all my Swedish stuff for a test. One year ago, I started learning Swedish at the evening school (VHS). It's fun, we are a nice small group. And our Swedish teacher is a very kind person, who lives in my area.
Years ago, I also tried to learn Russian, but it was too difficult to me, so I broke up. I'm able to speak a few sentences that's it.
In general, I'm a big booklover. My favorites are books of Steven King, John Grisham,Jane Heller, Nick Hornby, Dostojewski etc. I like reading travel guides and psychological books and poems. I also love comic strips like "Das kleine Arschloch", Ulli Stein, Gary Larson etc. And last but not least: Literature!! I'm a big Franz Kafka-Fan. I got all his books and diaries. When I was in Prague, I bought some books in Czech.
What about my hobbies? Mmmhh, let's think about it. I'm busy with a lot of things. I am a member at the society for the prevention of cruelty to animals, I play darts, collect everything about the Muppets Show, especially stuff with Kermit on it, travelling whenever it is possible, I do needlework and JOURNEY / STEVE PERRY etc. Just to name a few things. What about you?

Did you celebrate the 3rd October? Were there any events in Berlin?

Tschuess bis zum naechsten Mal
Martina :)))
