This is what I can tell ya from what I hear over on Journey site and what I have experienced for myself. I saw their concert in June this year. It was Awesome! No it would have been OUT OF THIS WORLD if Steve P. had been singing but, he was not and Steve A. did total justice to all the old tunes. This is the first major tour Steve A. has ever been on. His voice is not use to it and he will have good and bad days. I read what he goes through to try to keep his voice on a daily basis and I will tell you they really play the frontman 24-7 it totally consumes their life. They are warming their voice from the time they wake up til after the concert when they start warming it down and go to bed. They try not to talk at all if they can help it. I think this helps me understand what Steve Perry went through. How he would not do meet and greets with Journey in the old days for fear of getting sick or losing his voice so he could continue to perform. No wonder the man decided he had to get a life. Can you imagine all that just for us fan's? Anyhow, it is not Steve A's fault. He considers it a great honor to be where he is and he try's very hard to do justice to the old tunes. He has nothing but high respect for our man Steve P. If anyone is to blame it's all former members of Journey including Steve P. Listen to the song "Anyway" on the FTLOSM cd where he is appoligizing to the guys in the band and realize they were all bad to one another. I hope for Steve P's return anyway we can get it but, now I could understand why if he chose not too better after reading the article I read.
