*she screamed with brutal effect towards the elder & the youth at her side. Roaned neck snakes out towards the dam - whilst stained grinders chomped through air. Nails of young mare rake across the soft terrain, sending splays of sand bits up into the air - allowing the wind to carry them off. Snorting her outrage, she warns the elder mare of her ways. She had respect for the elder, yes, & the foal was another reason why nothing was initiated! Except, she realized how ignorant the colt was...no foal would dare lash out at an authority figure such as herself! Shaking her neck - sending splays of silken mane down it, she bobs her head respectfully in silent agreement to not begin a battle just yet. It would be so when the colt was older (& out of her hair) & the when the elder mare had regained her strength...*
