*he watched helplessly as TD moved in on Deception. He had silently vowed to her that she would return to his side when she was well again. He snorted slightly as TD went to challenge for her. He sighed - she might not make it. He looked around carefully for the black one. As he was not around, he snorted his rage. He would get Deception back first...or at least, he could try! He whickered to her & easily went to her side. She was so weak, so frail. He motioned for her to eat...to at least drink. He nudged a few wet leaves to her hooves - the best of both worlds. Sidling up beside her then, he allowed her to rest against him & nudged her cheek lovingly - encouraging her now drab piebald frame to ingest the roughage he had brought forth to her. He knew she would live - he had no doubt in that...she was a hardy femme*
