lo! Okay, well, breaking them in is a very personal preference. I personally slam the box in a door and then soak the shank with rubbing alcohol. But DO NOT do anything drastic with your first pair. I have been doing pointe work for 3 years and I have been through 20 pairs so I kinda know what is good for my feet and what isnt. Good luck!
