THis is not the way. Take my word for it. I have been bulimic on and off for over 25 years. You will get thin for a while but it never lasts. FOr one thing, most of us have to eventually get a job and work full-time--you can't be running off to the ladies room to vomit all the time. YOu will maybe one day have children--you can't be leaving your kids alone at the table at McDOnalds so you can hit the bathroom to barf up the Big Mac or 2 you just had.
I almost choked to death on my own vomit--if my husband hadn't been home to give me the Heimlich, I wouldn't be here. THat stopped me for a while. Just a while.
If you are obese--I'm sorry, but this is going to be blunt--you have to stop opening your mouth and putting too much food in. It helps to find out WHY you eat so much to begin with. You may have heard the saying: "It's not what you're eating, it's what's eating you." Are you bored? Are you depressed? Does overeating fill up the void inside of you? Does overeating make you forget the problems you really should be facing?
I'm no better. I don't have the answers. But after 25+ years of letting food rule my life I do know that wishing to have an eating disorder is NOT the way. It's just trading one addiction for another.
Good luck.
