Cheers for the interest Phil. Well, I'll be racing round the various boards tonight and tomorrow letting people know how it got on, but I'll give you a quick summary. Unfortunately, my speech was sabotaged by a cartel of evil Line Dancers - no joke. Nonetheless, we filled two pages of signatures, and got six shops holding more forms for us. Knowledge of the petition from online sources, and interest/popularity was far greater than we dared hope.

It's all very encouraging stuff. Fear not, my speech will be broadcast at some moment - for now, we're spreading the word and gaining signatures on the quiet.
