:D Its been done before. No shame. Just us sniggering at you in our elitist, board-using way. Ahem.

Perhaps not everyone agrees with me calling it Veteran's Walk, I just know Roger is one of the lynchpins of the club, hell, he was here before there WAS a Spiders...so, you see my line of reasoning.
As for looking for photo ops, maybe it is sad to you - but for me it gets me around to see my mates, generates piccies for the gallery, and I have a good time spiced with drinks and/or threats, depending on who I've 'graphed!

Each to their own, I presume...?
