usually it is unofficial companies who bleed dry a bands popularity by coming up with all kinds of weird merchandies, ie the KISS coffin. So I guess the blame doesn't really lie at the hands of the band. Like with Slipknot, they're really over-merchandised, but there are so many fake T shirts and stuff that you just know haven't been comissioned by the band themselves. Have you seen the Fruit Of The Loom hoodies in certain shops in Hull with band logo's badly sewn/ironed on?
