HTBA is a racket. Through Hull City Council they control all the arts funding for the city, so if you want anything you have to go through them. Want funding for a photography project perhaps? Forget it. They don't support photography (it's not time based). They do control all of Hull's funding for photography though, so where does it go? Do a job for them? Good luck getting paid.

I expect there'll be a lot of work going at the Beeb on the production side when their new setup's complete. Even now, people with relevant experience can get casual work as production assistants. I wouldn't count on anyone senior being from around here though. As for anyone famous coming here, well since the new setup is for BBCi, it's doubtful. Still, Andy Warhol said that in the future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes. On the Internet, though, you can be famous to 15 people, so maybe we should be asking for Killswitch's autograph.
