D'von was just finishing his meal when Xenatoth screamed a challenge. He groaned goodnaturedly. A green had just gone into flight, leading the big bronze too. As he stripped off the harness, he gave Xenatoth some last istructions. Becareful of your Threadscored wing, it has to be conditioned lightly, don't go very fast, and, Xenatoth, are listening? For the bronze had lumbered away.And don't forget to wait for the bugle!!!!!
He just hoped that the bugle would come before his bronze took off after the green. He turned to face the rider. She was pretty, but perhaps his dragon was already clouding his mind. He knew he couldn't think straight when his bronze went into flight, even though he had ever won gold or green, though he tried hard.
