As the bugle sounded, G’rein’s shouting laugh of defiance mirrored the annoyed screech of Grenith, high in the sky above him. As if the sudden sound had snapped something within them, the greenpair instantly melded minds, unsure now of who was who.

The green was happy within herself, her wings and body responding to her slightest wish as she soared with delight at how easy it was to outfly these two pursuers. This would be easy! But although the lust was in her, she knew that she would choose eventually – that was the very best part.

With a taunting warble to Myth and Golgith, Grenith shot forward, going as fast as was possible. She dipped in and under clouds, the thick white mist masking her glowing hide from the outside sky. Can you find me? She called, her voice full of laughter that she did not utter. She had to be quiet, or else they would find her! But it didn’t matter. She would always outfly them!!

G’rein had the dizzying view of double-vision when he opened his eyes – he could see landscape from Grenith, and he could see his own view superimposed on that. Maybe it was better to close his eyes. But he had to keep an eye on those two! If he looked away, they might catch him!

He smiled sensually at X’thrall, and looked up at Maria, the human part of him not stopping to wonder why she was hiding. What did it matter? She wouldn’t get him anyway! Unable to walk without possibly keeling over, G’rein remained still and upright, laughing at the other two.

Nothing could get them!
