First the wingbeat and then the sudden change in flight pattern confuse the poor bronze, but he doesn't let it slow him down for long. His eyes glow with what can only be smug satisfaction as he formulates his plan. Gaining height, he bugles at the green, telling her exactly what he'll do when he catches her. Not if, for he's bound and determined now. After all, she likes him, he can tell. Flexing his talons, he gains a little more height and dips his wings. Whichever direction Laffranth goes, he can see it much more clearly now. if she starts veering, he'll veer too, but now he won't throw his whole weight into it like he would if he was directly behind her.

And if she decided to come up and join him, why, he wouldn't mind that either. He was smarter than she gave him credit for, that was sure. His human counterpart grumbles at Akema, as much for her batting as Laffranth's batting. But he takes his hand back, at least for the time being.
