Subject: Curious about family history

I have recently come across an old document left by my grandfather on my mother's side. I wasn't closly tied to him and only knew my great grandmother for a short period of time. It is said though, that her mother was a full blooded Cherokee. I know how things become distorted over time and I myself am becomeing a bit wary as to what I should believe. Below I can provide complete names, places in which they lived, slight physical descriptions, and a few relative dates. Any and all information pertaining to whether or not I myself am related to a Cherokee, or if I am not, will be very much appreciated. I would rather know the truth than run around with false ideas.

Rozzie Hall-came from West Virginia to Kentucky around 1900, was 14.

Louise (bad) Hall and Ann Wright- parents of Rozzie. Ann Wright supposed sister of John (bad) Wright. Louis Hall is the supposed brother of Talt Hall, who was hung in 1892 for killing a police chief.

all these people lived in or around Letcher Co., Kentucky and were all said to be Cherokees. Again I ask for any leads or information, and anything recieved will be much appreciated. If you wish to contact me, you can e-mail me at deer.hunter@worldnet.att.net

thanks,
James
