I'm most anxcious to learn my native language. As my grandfather on my fathers side was full cherokee.And his wife, my grandmother was cherokee/german.Out of the east side. My grandfather died at a very young age. late forty of heart failure,residing in pikeville,Kentucky. I'm not sure of my grandmothers heritage. On my mothers side my grandfather.Jesse Lewis also cherokee died at a early age working in the coal mines. Past from black lung.grandfather resided in and all over virgina and west virgina, He also had some blackfoot blood.grandmother was born in baltimore,but with granfather she moved around alot . The bluefeilds of virginia seemed to be her favorate place to live. this is only some of the history. I want to know more and do know a little more. But so much mroe than this is knowing the language. And to be able to share, and learn of my heritage.
