My X1 is. ATHERTON, TRESCOTHICK, HUSSAIN, THORPE, STEWART, VAUGHAN, WHITE, CROFT, GILES, GOUGH AND HOGGARD. The wickets will be had before he has to bowl.Yes I am a white rose lad, but Hoggard had to play, and Caddick lacked bottle and heart in Lahore and although not a quickies wicket at least Gough carried on steaming in, whereas Caddick went through another match where effort was missing.
