" I would like to congratulate the U.S. California longline fleet for achieving the extrordinary landing of 1 MILLION POUNDS of Broadbill Swordfish LAST MONTH! Of course, most were under 150 lbs (the minimum reproductive age of females). All legal, outside the 200 mile EEZ (allegedly). I'm sure that it was done with minimal bycatch. Nice going, that's GETTN EM! It's comforting to know that the U.S fishermen are getting their fair share because as we know, the Mexican commercial guys have geared up to catch OUR Swordfish on their southern migration. Next time you're at a nice restaurant, be sure to order only longline caught Pacific Swordfish, not that imported stuff, IT'S THE PATRIOTIC THING TO DO."

You got to appreciate the sarcasm. It's hard to believe there still allowing these guys to just destroy the Sword population. Not to mention the shark bycatch. Really pisses me off.
