The following is an email that I had received this morning from Richard Ellis. Mr. Ellis has written various books on sharks (to
include "The Book of Sharks"). He also co-wrote the very informative book titled "Great White Shark". Mr. Ellis has also
appeared in various shark related television programs as his review of my article was most welcome.

Richard Ellis wrote:

Dear Jim,

I just got around to reading the article, and I think you did a terrific job. I have spent a lot of time in Hawaii, and it makes me
very sad to see such a poor performance on the part of the state government. I would boycott the state, but it probably
wouldn't
do any good, because I have no plans to go there in the immediate future. Nevertheless, I strongly support your efforts.

I visited Ron and Valerie when I was in Australia in February, and they seem fine, and as busy as ever.

Mahalo,

Richard
