I agree with both of you. Though, the rational part of me was saying "Why would you want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with (isn't in love with) you??" Although it could be that I felt like the David in the movie (something Watterson? I just know he's Sam Watterson's son, but I can't think of his first name.) didn't present the character in a very strong way the way Randall Batinkoff did in the show. I think I would have had more sympathy had the character been played by Randall. :)
