Well, LauraG and Jenn ...
I've just about worked my way - cleaning - from one end of the house to the other ...
I found several coins during the process ...
My daughter bought a "new" coin purse at Goodwill the other day while I was searching through the vinyl LP's and 45's ..
My son bought a box of [fund-raiser] oranges from one of his students at the high school ...
I'm not too much a "fan" of wearing red ...
If I paint my nails a shade of crimson will that work?
Re: Dragons - not very many of those 'round Lebanon ...
how's about a "dragonfly"?! :)
We've added rice to our New Year's menu ...
so ...
hopefully, we'll be off to a pretty good start for 2011! :)

btw, the current temp here is 63 degrees! :)
don't know how long it's expected to last - but, it beats the ice and snow last week! :)

Sounds as though you've got the New Year in the bag.
As for your 63 degrees, I drove home from visiting a friend last night and the car thermometer was reading 25! Oh, but the sky.... absolutely stunning! It isn't often that we see the stars during the winter months.
Mary and I are off to the "Little Fokkers" and dinner this early evening.
I've always enjoyed Robert De Niro's acting, but I totally adore his comedy. There is something to be said for funny remarks coming out of that face.

Love to all,
LauraG

What a beautiful scene! I could look at something like that all day long- is this a view from your home?

JennOK, wish it was. Fortunately, it was taken from a friend's home on Whidbey Island, northwest of Seattle. I live in a "holler" much closer to the ocean. We are surrounded by hills and timber along the Wishkah River (which has overflowed several times recently.) We're high enough the we have nothing to worry about. We are also avoiding town and the beach this New Year as there is a clam tide and traffic is pretty bad. We live in a town that is the only access to the beach; one way in one way out and it clogs up during beach "happenings."

Have a Happy and Prosperous New Year,
LauraG

Hi BC! Sounds like you are doing great! I got as far as getting the office cleaned, things filed, etc. and cleaning through drawers in the kitchen and a couple of cupboards. I emptied a drawer for my spices and have a pile of "junk" from the 3 junk drawers that I am looking at. I have some "cutie" clementines in the fridge that should work and I believe I have a red sweater I could wear tomorrow. I found some change in the drawers too, so hopefully this will all help us have an incredible year! I wish it were warmer here. It is spitting rain right now, the snow is melting, and tonight and tomorrow we are to have below zero windchills. We are supposed to travel tomorrow so hopefully they are getting deicer on the roads. Happy New Year to you and everyone! Happy New Year Stewart if you read this.
