Subject: More snow in the weekend forecast!
In reply to: BC 's message, "Re: More snow!" on 10:31:04 01/20/11 Thu

Well BC, we will be getting about half an inch more tomorrow and then about 4 to 7 inches is forecast again for Sunday. So be prepared. Man, too bad Kansas doesn't have mountains, we could open a ski resort pretty soon! But the eastern part of the state is hilly and there are some great sledding locations!

Debbie

Uh oh! Thanks for the "warning" Deb! :)
We've already received the first "go round" - about 3 inches so far.
Thanks again though! 'cause it was enough to close our county schools - giving us a "three-day" weekend ...
but, I think I'm still gonna have to go to MTSU today.
- luckily my Friday class doesn't begin until 10:20 a.m.
- so I should be able to make it ok if I get an early enough start.
Thank goodness I have some tires with tread on them now! :)

Yep, Kansas definitely should consider the possibility of opening a winter ski resort of some sort! :)
On the level part of the "lowlands" maybe you guys could offer "cross-country" skiing?!
For the "hills" - I have three wooden "Radio Flyer" sleds if you want to borrow them?!

I can still remember my middle son (years and years ago - back when he was in elementary school)
he had a pet chicken (of all things :) at the time! :)
anyways, I can still see them in my mind ...
sledding down the hill together in front of the house where we lived back then ...
and, "Henrietta" sitting with "J" on the sled - "flying" down the hill together! :)

Have you ever been snow skiing?! I'd like to try sometime.
- but, I would definitely have to start out on the "beginner's slope"! :)
- BC :)
