She turned five in June. Reading her workbook to her brother and building sentences. She just finished a project on Venus, dance camp then cheer camp. She is excited about her new (used) piano she got, she has been taking lessons for about a year but only had a keyboard at home.

Isn't school exciting! Our kids went to UNICOI park yesterday to learn about the Cherokee indians that used to inhabit this area of the country.

We learned about how they hunted including throwing their weapons. Oh yeah, you can imagine how well that went over with the boys. Jed was in his glory!

The girls did a scavenger hunt and then we went to a really cool rock shop on the way home.

I always like driving up into the mountains and seeing the beauty all around us. The drive up to Unicoi was particularly beautiful--though I would have enjoyed the way back more if I had not seen the low fuel light. YIKES!! We were living on prayer all the way down the mountain. Thank goodness it was downhill as we were on FUMES.

Is that Caedmon?
Thanks for sharing the photos Deb!

A question posed to me by one of my 5th grade passengers on the bus ...
"Ms. C."
"What time is it when an elephant gets in your car?!"

"?!" = Ms. C

"It's time to get out of your car!" :)

My favorite quote of the week by Caleigh (in kindergarten)
"I love to jump in 'mud puddes'!"

Wow! I recognize that alphabet strip. It's from Saxon phonics...the best phonics program out there! My kids read better than most of their peers and I attribute it to that program!
