although I haven't had the advantage of the "classical" method of training ...
I think I have enough "practical experience" to audition for a role in the uprcoming remake of the "Looney 'toon" series ***
(*** produced by "Imagination Enterprises" ...)

'round about time for the Oscars ...
even if I didn't win, I know I would be among the top nominees for best-supporting "looney-toon"! :)

with my luck ...
or, should I say ...
with any luck ...
the leading "man" would be "Pepe Le Pew" ...
what does that line mean anyways ...
"Come with me to the Casbah?! :)

... for "Wikipedia" ! :)

"The Casbah of Algiers is founded on the ruins of old Icosium ..."

"To outsiders, the Casbah appears to be a confusing labyrinth of lanes and dead-end alleys flanked by picturesque houses; however if one loses oneself there, it is enough to go down again towards the sea to reposition oneself ..."

"In popular culture..."
"The 1938 movie Algiers (a remake of the French film Pépé le Moko of the previous year) was most Americans' introduction to the picturesque alleys and souks of the Casbah. In 1948 a musical remake, Casbah, was released."

The invitation "Come with me to the Casbah," which was heard in trailers for Algiers but not in the film itself, became an exaggerated romantic overture, largely owing to its use by Looney Tunes cartoon character Pepé Le Pew, himself a spoof of Pépé le Moko. The amorous skunk used "Come with me to ze Casbah" as a pickup line. In 1954, the Looney Tunes cartoon The Cats Bah specifically spoofed Algiers, with the skunk enthusiastically declaring, "You do not have to come with me to ze Casbah.... We are already 'ere!" ! :)

I sense a little metamorphosis taking place. Just hold on tight and "Let it ride."
Enjoy the trip it'll take you to new and exciting places I'm sure.

Being a "doctor" of sorts ...
I would assume that you are aware of the various definitions associated with the "condition" of metamorphosis?!

"metamorphosis" ...
1) change of physical form ...
a complete or marked change of physical form ...
*** this is still a "work in progress" - my original target date was on or before my birthday this past July ...
I was - and, I still am - a little behind schedule ...
but I'll get there! :)

2) change of appearance ...
*** Does this mean I just "won" a free "makeover"?! :)

3) supposed supernatural transformation ...
*** this one could be interpreted in numerous ways!
I'll just believe that "He who began a good work will be faithful to continue" the process! :)

Why does the phrase "hold on tight" remind me of how I felt just before take-off (6 times in 9 days) ...
then, I came home with a couple of broken teeth - and, a third one that had abscessed?! :)

"Let it ride!" ?!
Well, it seems like I do remember receiving some good advice while on vacation in CA this summer?! :)
"Relax!" :)

OK, I'll follow "Doc's" orders! :)

Just one more thing. Transformation is in no way supernatural. Its the most natural thing in the world. You need to not fight it and just go with the flow. It'll take you wherever you need to go.

Love, LauraG

PS AS for a makeover. Transformation is the ultimate makeover!

" ... winning is fun but many players would have pushed all-in when they had been beat down and seemingly had no chance of winning. By not giving up and getting "a little" lucky, you too can come back and dominate the final table ..."

"Like they say in baseball..."It ain't over till the fat lady sings" and in poker, as long as you have a chip and a chair, you ain't dead yet." ! :)
