Subject: Well, if you can't gloat here, where can you?

This post has no real meaning besides expressing my desire to crow about a purchase I made at the weekend. If you wanna skip, feel free. If you want to find out why I am supremely pleased with myself, read on......

Over here in the UK there is an event known as Memorabilia. At these events, which are little more than a huge dealers room open for two days, anything toy related or vaguely collectible is up for sale. It's good TF huntiing ground, and I always come away with something from there. Last year was a disappointing story: all I got was a single Actionmaster and the inner robot from the Pretender Landmine (the Actionmaster was Snarl, in case you were wondering. What's that? You couldn't care less? Fair enough)

This year made up for it. There I was, wandering about, and a boxed Metroplex caught my eye, going for £40 sterling. Not bad, I thought to myself. The woman at the stall apologized, saying it had some parts missing, and didn't have the foam. Still, wanting a Metroplex (and pleased that the box was in good shape) I bought it anyway and took it home. Sure enough, in the box, there was the bag with the Metroplex pieces in it. Imagine my surprise when, using Rework's Parts ID website, I found that the only piece I was missing was one small, black gun and nothing else. Imagine my further surprise when the box of Metroplex parts yielded some interesting extras:

1) A Rocklord
2) A weird dragon robot, no brand I recognize
3) An aerialbot (Black jet, damned if I can remember the name)
4) A protectobot, Blades (the helicopter)
5) A good condition Blitzwing (well, missing the sword, so not entirely complete, but the toy is in excellent shape)

All this, and I get a complete Metroplex out of the deal, missing only the foam from his box. Ahhhh, this year made up for last year, and no mistake.

So there you have it. Sorry if this seems gratuitous, I just wanted to pass on news of my good news.
