I thought it was pretty poor.

"Transformer-mon", without the intelligence of even Digimon.

The humans are annoying, and making them the focus takes away from the honking great big robots we all know and love.

The Minicons beeping is going to drive me nuts before long. Having a major portion of your cast only ommunicate via beeps seems completely silly, they're going to come across like tin plated Pokemon.

The whole plot seems weird. Ages ago both sides agreed that the Minicons should be left out of the war, now both sides are scrabbling for them, wouldn't it make more sense, now that both sides

And having a three part opener didn't work, because they spent several minutes of what would ostensibly be the third episode, recapping the plot of the first episode that everyone had seen not half an hour before!!

We see lots of lovely G1 flashback characters, lots and lots of them. So far Megatrons army consists of three robots, not counting himself, and Optimus's army consists of two. What? Did the Minicons get discovered during the holiday season or something?

We have the Season 3 G1 problem too; The Decepticons haven't disguised themsleves as anything, they just look like alien vehicles, some disguise! At least the Autobots make some attempts in that direction.

The aniamtion is scrappy. Some of the hardware shots are very nice, but they can't even be bothered to give the Hispanic kid whites in his eyes. That smacks of cheapness.

And though it normally doesn't bother me, I just don't like this Optimus, with all the extra head pipes and his weird segmented face plate.

Sorry, but this one just didn't do it for me. I appreicate it wasn't meant to, but this certainly wasn't Beast Wars, or Beast Machines. :(
