My Two Cents: (warning: some spoilers)

1. It's hella good for a US Transformer comic!! Much much much gooder than Marvel's US#1. The mecha art is pretty awesome -- it's no Mikimoto Haruhiko or Kawamori Shouji, but it's helluva lot better than other attempts like Frank Springer or Jose Delbo (shudder). The humans are drawn... well, okay. I don't think the fleshies look terribly fantastic (Pat Lee's drawings of humans look like an uncomfortable hybrid between traditional American and Japanese comic styles IMHO), but they don't look terrible either. Of course, these are purely my own personal subjective opinions. ;p

2. The storyline seems pretty good. Definitely coming from a more mature approach where we even see humans being exterminated before our eyes. Some plot elements were rather predictable, whereas others were not. Hound's appearance took me by surprise, and as Kal mentioned, was a great play on the "robots in disguise" theme. It's generally too early for me to make an accurate judgement on the storyline.

3. Fan tributes-- How many have you spotted? The ones I have picked up so far have been:
(a) One of the humans who was killed by Megatron was called Manny. Possibly a reference to Manny Galan?
(b) When Spike is shaving, take a close look at his pendant. >:)

4. In the Decepticon centrefold, there are two Transformers I don't recognise. They're both behind Brawl and Trailbreaker, next to Tracks. One of them is just an arm and a leg. Who are these guys?
