1. Well, by now I'm sure that everyone has heard that Sale and Pelletier, the Canadian figure-skating pair, were awarded gold medals of their own. I personally applaud the decision, seeing how the judging was tainted. However, the investigation continues, as it should. I have some serious worries. One is the prospect of "gold-digging", with perhaps numerous national Olympic committees pressuring the IOC to review their favorite controversy. Then there's the possibility of a witch-hunt. The oft-cited concern for the credibility of Olympic judging actually doesn't worry me. If Olympic judging is as corrupt as some say it is, then it doesn't deserve credibility.

2. Happy Presidents' Day, everyone!

3. Curling has become one of my favorite sports of these Olympics. It works much like shuffleboard, and it's interesting to see a team's prospects totally turn around with just one shot.

4. On the opposite vein, is there any sport more blah-worthy than ice dancing? I've watched a bit of it, and every time I just laugh to myself. I just can't bring myself to take the competition seriously.

5. *Looks at the long thread below* Hmmmmmm. It looks like the Cavalcade got a bit more whimsical last week. :-)

6. All the boys say,
"Hey, baby! Hey, baby, hey!"
Girls say,
girls say,
"Hey, baby! Hey, baby, hey!
Hey, baby baby!"

Truer words have never been spoken, no? :b
