Subject: Who was your favourite teacher & why???????

After nine years of post-secondary education and years of having to observe and evaluate teachers, I believe that Muriel Connerton Ketchem was the best of the best!!! She was an intellectual who never spoke down to her students. She gave us the tools for academic success. She was creative and interesting. She made learning within the grasp of all. She never had discipline problems. Her original musicals created a bond among classmates who might not have interacted with each other save for this experience. When I saw her this summer, I still was able to sing one of her songs that had been playing in my head now and again for 54 years. She was and is the reason I spent my life in education. She gave me something to reach for knowing that I could never quite achieve the standard she set out before us.
