Never saw girls' basket ball until I came South. Varsity boys games were preceded by JV boys. Here in our area, Varsity boys are preceded by girls'...girls soccer is spring sport, varsity and JV boys soccer is fall sport, along with football and golf. Girls golf is spring. Softball (fast pitch) is girls spring. Tennis and track and cross country for both are spring sports. Softball and soccer bring out more fans than baseball...football brings largest numbers of spectators. oh! Nearly forgot fall girls' volley ball...our little school (750 students) finished #2 in the state last year. Wrestling ( boys) always sees 3-4 go to states.About every 10 years the varsity basketball team goes to state finals. Average graduating class is 160...win 1.5 to $2 million in scholarships (cumulative)usually have a student headed to West Point and 1-2 appointed to USAF academy.
Forgot swim team..co-ed...
All would go further in competition but for the composition of the conference...3 4A schools , 1 3A school, 1 1A school and 5 2A schools (we're 2A). Hard to compete with schools 3 times larger in enrollment.

I don’t recall any prohibition at CTHS. In those
