i will speak on this issue from a lay persons point of view.
Arsenic in water what are you doing trying to poison me.
i thought arsenic was a heavy metal like lead and lead we all know is bad. lead and arsenic both stay in the body forever and the more you ingest the more your body retains so is 10pbb really a reasonable amount {i do not know personaly}.10pbm sounds like alot and 50pbm sounds even worse.we have required all lead to be removed from water pipes and we have required asbestose to be removed from all construction materials so why are we allowing arsenic to be consumed in any amount. but like i said i dont know and i agree more research is needed to see what level is acceptable with another but....but shouldnt we demand that all levels of any dangerous chemicals be reduced to zero within a reasonable amount of time so a goal of 10ppb
seems reasonable to me and zero ppb should be the goal.
research while leaving the ppb the same could mean many more unneeded deaths
