Rather than allow Bush to distract us with his old vendetta against Hussein, let us refocus our efforts to eliminate the Al Queda.

There is no legal justification for invading Iraq. Yes, I know they're in violation of part of UN resolution 687. But we presume too much if we think that gives us the right to invade.

There was NEVER any violent mechanism of enforcement specified in that resolution, and it was a pretty damned specific resolution.

If we are to be regarded as a mature, stable nation, we need to follow international laws, and they are clear. It is only acceptable for us to attack another nation if we are under attack, or under imminent threat of attack. From Iraq, we are neither.
