Our line has Francis and two brothers joining the confederates. I believe one brother, Eli was killed in the Civil war. They joined in either South or North Carolina. Frances was the father of my Great-Grandfather and liked Robert E. Lee so much, he named my grandfather Robert E. Lee Cleveland. We have extensive records of these families.
